Toyota Acknowledged for Commitment to Diversity


Toyota Motor North America has been acknowledged for its diversity for the 9th consecutive year. 

CEO Jim Lentz summed up Toyota's commitment perfectly:
"We build cars and trucks for all kinds of drivers, in communities across the country," Lentz said. "To serve America effectively, we need to mirror the rich diversity of our customers."

Toyota Tests 3 Wheel Car


Today, residents of Tokyo will get a chance to drive Toyota's three-wheeled electric car/motorbike.  It's part of a trial aimed at creating a global business model that will reduce gridlock and pollution.

Toyota Announces Olympics Sponsorship


Toyota announced today that is has reached an agreement with the International Olympic Committee to join a top-tier group of global sponsors supporting the IOC.  This is the first deal of it's kind for any car maker.  It likely means that all athletes and guests at the Olympic Games will be transported to and from events in Toyota vehicles.

Toyota Stands Out in JD Power Dependability Study



Toyota, Lexus, Buick and Cadillac captured the top four spots in  J.D. Power and Associates' annual vehicle dependability study.  The study is one of the most watched rankings because it indicates the answers and complaints from three year old vehicle owners.  The report tabulates problems reported in surveys during the last 12 months.  The industry average is 147 problems reported for every 100 vehicles.  Toyota's score came in at 111 reported problems, Lexus…

Amy Purdy to Drive Daytona 500 Pace Car



Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. and Daytona International Speedway announced Thursday that 'Dancing With the Stars' finalist and Paralympics bronze medalist Amy Purdy will serve as the official pace car driver for Today's Daytona 500 on FOX.

Toyota and Vantage Mobility International (VMI) delivered a 2015 Toyota Sienna with the Northstar Access 360 in-floor side entry ramp conversion to disabled U.S. Air Force veteran and Star Spangled Salute contest winner, Susan Kirsch. Mississippi Toyota Plant Sets Record With 500,000th Car
