Toyota Motor Corp. (7203) and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) have begun joint research into next-generation batteries to power cleaner vehicles.

The two automakers will try to increase the performance and capacity of lithium-ion batteries with new combinations of materials, Munich-based BMW said today in a statement. In addition to the research cooperation, BMW will supply Toyota's European unit with diesel engines starting in 2014.

The third member of the Prius family has now arrived at Marion Toyota - the all new Prius C.  The Toyota Prius C has a 53 MPG rating for city driving.  That is the highest city MPG rating for any vehicle that is not considered a plug in. The Prius C is the smallest in the Prius family, so getting around town couldn't be any easier or more fun. Marion Toyota recently announced a new enhanced version of their mobile website to create a better experience for their customers when they are using a mobile device, such as a smart phone, to view things like inventory, schedule service appointments, or rent cars.
