The Hay Group conducts the research for Fortune and ranks companies on categories such as social responsibility, people management, long- term investment, quality of products and services, and financial soundness. Toyota Highlander, Prius, and Scion FR-S are Consumer Reports Top Picks for 2013

The April edition of Consumer Reports magazine will soon be on newsstands and have their annual rankings of their top vehicles for 2013. The Toyota Prius is picked as the top green car for the 10th consecutive year. Prius has the best EPA fuel economy with a 44 overall MPG rating.

Toyota Shopper Loyalty Ranked #1 Again

For the fifth consecutive quarter Toyota is ranked number one in Kelley Blue Book's shopper loyalty ratings. The latest rankings were released February 7^th, 2013 to the public. In the past several years Korean brands Kia and Hyundai have racked up much success but both have been dropping in shopper loyalty for several quarters because of an aging lineup of vehicles.

Toyota and BMW Annouce Partnership

Big news from Toyota this week in regard to a long term collaboration on technology. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Bavarian Motor Works Group (BMW) have announced that they have signed an agreement to work together on jointly developing a Fuel Cell System, Future Sports Vehicle, and Lightweight Technology for Body Vehicles. In addition – they will work on research of future lithium –air – batteries.

Toyota Teams-up With NASCAR to Sponsor Two Races in 2013

Toyota is going to be an exclusive title sponsor of two NASCAR Sprint Cup & Nationwide Races at the Richmond International Raceway located in Virginia. They will be under a multi-year title sponsorship that will begin in 2013.

Toyota Details Environment Commitment

On Tuesday, Toyota released its 2012 North American Environmental Report which documents the company's commitment and respect for the planet and the environment. Toyota is the most efficient full-line manufacturer with "zero-waste" plants.

Several items were highlighted in the report:

Toyota has the most fuel-efficient fleet of any full-line auto manufacturer in the United States, and Prius accounts for half of all hybrids on the road in North America. In 2012, the Prius c and Prius Plug-in Hybrid joined the family.
