Project CAR is a community outreach program facilitated by Marion Toyota, 3300 W Deyoung ST, Marion IL, 62959 and Marion Collision Center, 2700 Cree DR, Marion IL, 62959. This program provides a way to help people in need purchase an older model car that has been rehabbed by Marion Toyota at a special price of $1.00. As we receive older model vehicles through various methods, Marion Toyota and Marion Collision Center periodically will accept nominations from the community identifying individuals for whom Project CAR ownership could provide a dramatic and sustained improvement in their quality of life. Each Project CAR vehicle will have a specific nomination period established. Completed nominations may be carried over for consideration from one period to another at the discretion of Marion Toyota and Marion Collision Center. If selected for a final round of considerations, nominees will be required to fill out a formal application for the program. The rehab process for each Project CAR vehicle includes a safety inspection, basic operational repairs, cosmetic reconditioning, and exterior/interior detailing. Once this rehab process is completed, the vehicle will be sold "as-is" with no further warranty express or implied.
