Toyota and BMW Annouce Partnership

Big news from Toyota this week in regard to a long term collaboration on technology.  Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Bavarian Motor Works Group (BMW) have announced that they have signed an agreement to work together on jointly developing a Fuel Cell System, Future Sports Vehicle, and Lightweight Technology for Body Vehicles.  In addition – they will work on research of future lithium –air – batteries.

Poplular Science Honors Toyota Rav4 EV

Popular Science has named the Toyota Rav4 EV, "The Best of What's New" in the automotive category for its 2012 Best of What's New Awards.  The all-electric sports utility vehicle accelerates better than many conventional SUV's and can go over 100 miles per hour top track speed according to Popular Science Editors.  Popular Science was also able to achieve higher MPG's than the EPA mileage estimates.

Toyota Tundra to Tow Space Shuttle Endeavour

Toyota, BMW Expand Deal for New Sports Car


Partners in eco-tech crime, BMW and Toyota inked an agreement today to continue working together on fuel cells, electric powertrains, lightweight components, and "a future sports vehicle."

Toyota Takes Half of Top 10 Awards from Consumer Reports
