Hydrogen Trucks - Toyota Enters $82 Million Partnership

Toyota Project Portal 2.0 fuel cell-powered semi-trailer truck

After showing its second-generation fuel-cell semi-truck at the Port of Los Angeles in July, Toyota announced last week it will build 10 more fuel-cell trucks for the project.

In addition to the trucks, the project will add two new heavy-duty hydrogen fillings stations, two new hydrogen forklifts at Toyota's warehouse at the next-door Port of Long Beach, and two new zero-emissions yard tractors at the nearby Port of Hueneme.

The California Air Resources Board will provide $41 million of funding for the project. Toyota, Shell, and Kenworth, which builds the trucks, will provide the balance of the project costs…

Toyota Testing Car Connectivity in Ann Arbor

Toyota Motor North America Reports December 2017, Year-End Sales




Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) today reported December 2017 sales of 222,985 vehicles, a decrease of 8.3 percent from December 2016 on a volume basis. With one less selling day in December 2017 compared to December 2016, sales were down 4.8 percent on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis. 
 
For the year, TMNA reported sales of 2,434,515 vehicles, a 0.6 percent decrease.
