
Toyota recently released its pre-Super Bowl commercial called "To Be A Dad" centering around what it means to be a father. The commercial features several former and current NFL players including La Var Arrington, Fred Jackson and Kurt Warner. Each of them share stories about their fathers and later in the spot, their kids share stories about them. For some, the commercial will be a real "tear jerker"
This year, several brands, including Toyota, are rejecting the typical humorous format of years past and going with ads that try to reach an emotional connection with viewers.
