
When people are in the market for a used vehicle one of the main things that they are concerned with is making sure they get a fair transaction price. Sometimes this becomes very confusing because, unlike new vehicles, it's difficult to compare several used vehicles. Almost like an "apples" to "oranges" type scenario.
At Marion Toyota we take very comprehensive steps to make sure all of our pre owned vehicles are very competitively priced. How we do this is actually quite simple, but unfortunately not all car dealers make this a best practice and the customer has to end up spending countless hours doing their homework.
If two cars are equal - and by this I mean you are comparing the same year, make, model, and equipment - then there are only three things that really determine the value of a used car. Those things are (1) Miles, (2) Condition, and (3) the History of the vehicle. These are the top three attributes that help determine value.
Marion Toyota helps take the leg work out of customers having to do a lot of comparison shopping by using very sophisticated technology software called Provision. This technology allows our Used Car Department to take every vehicle in our inventory and scan the market for "like" vehicles and compare them. We then make sure we are priced at or below the market price for that type vehicle. We then go one step further and are constantly adjusting our pricing on each vehicle, according to the market data.
