In early February Marion Toyota expanded their Used Car selection to now include what is called Wholesale Cars to the Public. Used Car manager David Pierce explained that before this, Marion Toyota basically carried two types of used vehicles. "Toyota Certified Used Cars and other late model used cars is primarily what we would carry and most would have less than 90,000 miles on them. But that last few years we have seen a great demand for less expensive used car trade-ins that we normally would have wholesaled to a small used car dealer after we had traded for them. We took a close look and two things were evident. One -some of these units were pretty nice used cars and just had a few dents and dings and maybe some minor things wrong with them. Two - we had a lot of potential customers coming in and saying that just wanted basic transportation". With Marion Toyota being one of the largest new car dealers in the tri state region that means they trade for a lot of cars so it just made sense to offer these cars for sale to the public instead of wholesaling them down the street to another dealer.
