The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) has been in trouble for longer than most of us can remember. It was listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List in 1990, but the species has suffered from hunting and habitat loss as early as the 1930s. Toyota donated $1 million on Thursday to the Yellowstone Park Foundation to support the development of a new Yellowstone Youth Campus.
The facility will be a "living" environment that will be home to immersive youth programs at the park.
