With the Tundra, you get eight airbags that include front seat-mounted side airbags, side curtain airbags, and driver and front outboard passenger airbags. The Tundra is the only truck on the market that offers driver/front outboard passenger knee airbags. The Star Safety System is standard with the Tundra and includes Traction Control, Brake Assist, Smart Stop Technology, Vehicle Stability Control, an Anti-lock Brake System, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
The Tundra comes with an available Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. With the Blind Spot Monitor, a visual alert will appear on the side mirror when a vehicle is approaching your blind spot zones. Rear-Cross Traffic Alert warns you with visual and audible alerts when vehicles are crossing from the left or right when you are backing out of your driveway or a parking spot.
