2020 Toyota Supra Release Date, Specs, and Features

The moment that some of us have been waiting more than two decades for has finally come, as today Toyota introduced the all-new 2020 Toyota Supra, the first new Supra model since the 1998 model year. With an official release date of sometime this summer, we simply cannot wait to get our hands on it and assume many of you can’t either, so we thought we’d highlight some of its exciting specs & features to at least give you an idea of what the new sports car has in store for you upon release.

Performance Specs

Obviously, the most important and highly anticipated information is regarding the new Supra’s performance specs. The 2020 Supra will be powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine capable of generating 335 horsepower alongside 365 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to features like the twin-scroll turbocharger, continuously variable timing, direct fuel injection and more, the torque kicks in even from lower speeds, making sure to deliver an incredible experience each time you hit the road. The engine is tethered to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for the manual touch. All of this allows the Supra to hit 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, and an electronically-limited top speed of 155 miles per hour.

Multimedia Features

Just because it’s a sports car focused on performance, doesn’t mean it can’t have more to offer. The new Supra will be packed with technology, including Keyless Smart Entry, dual automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, a rearview camera, rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-folding side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and more. But what’s most exciting will be the 12-speaker JBL audio system tethered to the 8.8” multimedia display, available in the 3.0 grade and standard in the 3.0 Premium.
