Scion, established in 2003 as a laboratory to develop products and processes to appeal to young customers, will be transitioning to the Toyota brand.
Scion achieved its goal of attracting new, younger customers. With sales of more than a million vehicles, 70 percent were to customers new to Toyota and 50 percent were to people under 35 years old.

But Millennials have a different mindset and now appreciate the Toyota brand for its quality, durability and reliability. They are also attracted to Toyota as we develop cars that are more fun to drive with the distinctive styling they’re seeking.
Beginning in August 2016 with MY17 vehicles, the FR-S, iM and iA will be badged as Toyotas. The tC will have a final edition Release Series 10.0 and will then be discontinued.

Scion’s 22 dedicated team members will have the opportunity to take on new jobs at Toyota Motor Sales. The regional Scion representatives will assume new responsibilities within their regional offices.   We could not have achieved the success we have had without the incredible support of Scion’s customers, dealers and team members, so supporting them throughout this transition process will be one of our top priorities.

The spirit of Scion will live on as it transitions to Toyota. Thank you for your support of Scion and helping the division accomplish its goal of making Toyota a stronger company.
