The Consumer Electronics Show was in Las Vegas earlier this month, and to share the exciting new fuel cell vehicle, Toyota made a well-received appearance.

Not only did the company have the Toyota Mirai on hand to show the event patrons, it announced it was giving other car makers the chance to use their fuel cell patents completely royalty free. This means other car makers can create their own versions of the Mirai without having to pay for the patents. We wonder what the future will bring with these fuel cell vehicles. Which automaker will be first to follow the footsteps of the Mirai. This reminds us of the first time Toyota released an environmentally friendly car and sparked a revolution.

We have a video from the CES which goes into more of the science behind the car and how it truly is an innovative car that doesn't just get its driver from point A to point B. It helps preserve the planet.
