There are two engine options within the Corolla lineup. The base is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that's rated at a respectable 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. The other -- the LE Eco -- is also motivated by a 1.8-liter four-banger, but offers a bit more juice, doling out 140 horsepower and 126 pound-feet of torque.
We will note, though: drivers who, first and foremost, favor fuel economy will want to consider the LE Eco, as its EPA rating checks in at an incredible 35 mpg combined (30 city/42 city).
