The 2015 Toyota Sienna  was the only model of minivan sold in the United States to score well in a front overlap crash safety tests.  The crash tests were performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  The Dodge Grand Caravan, the Chrysler Town & Country and the Nissan Quest performed poorly, according to IIHS.

The Sienna joined the Honda Odyssey as the only minivans to earn the IIHS "Top Safety Pick Plus" rating that is used heavily in marketing new vehicles.  "Minivans are popular among parents, a group that tends to be safety conscious, but we've only seen two so far that offer decent protection in small overlap crashes," David Zuby, IIHS executive vice president and chief research officer said.
