Toyota has made a name for itself as a green leader in the automotive community with its successful lineup of hybrid and electric vehicles, so it makes sense that it is trying to reduce waste wherever possible.  The company's most recent effort is a GoGreen campaign from Toyota Financial Services that asks customers to forgo mailed paper statements in favor of electronic ones that are delivered via email.

In addition to being a switch that helps the environment, this is a service that is convenient for our customers as more and more people make the move to electronic banking.  The Japanese automaker is sweetening the deal by pledging to donate $5 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for every driver that signs up for paperless billing statements.

Initially, the brand expected to see about 20,000 drivers sign up, which would make for a hefty $100,000 donation to the non-profit organization, but since the program was launched, Toyota has decided to increase its expected gift to $200,000.

If you'd like to participate, you'll have to hurry because the campaign ends on March 31st.  We'll be sure to report the results of the program right here on the Marion Toyota blog.
