Toyota and Discovery Education Network have teamed up to create the Toyota Teen Driver Program. The purpose of this program is to reach out to teens, parents and educators across the country with tips, tools and resources to encourage safer driving. They've created an interactive website to offer curriculum and lesson plans to educators, coaching tips and conversation starters for parents, and engaging information and an interactive game for teens.

The public is being invited to go online and help choose the winning teen video in the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge.  Hundreds of teens submitted videos to inspire fellow teen drivers to make safer decisions.  The video with the most votes will receive $15,000.  In addition, the top three videos will receive help from Discovery Channel to recreate the video for TV broadcast.

As part of the program, Toyota and the Discovery Channel created a public service announcement (PSA) inspired by research that shows parents are the greatest influence on their teens' driving behavior.
