Last year the "100 Cars for Good" event was so successful that Toyota has decided to do it again. If you haven't heard, the "100 Cars for Good" campaign gives away new Toyota models to hard working non-profit groups.
Applications were accepted earlier this year and Toyota has now got to the point where they've picked 500 finalists. That may sound like a lot, but consider that Toyota received thousands of applications from non-profit groups across the country.
Like most modern day marketing campaigns the final decision for this year's "100 Cars for Good" campaign will be decided online by customers and fans alike. Voting for your favorite non-profit finalist will take place on Facebook from May 14th through August 21st.
Here's how it will work. Each day, five finalists will be posted and the voting will begin. The winner of each round will have their choice of either the Toyota Highlander, Prius, Tundra, Sienna, Sienna Mobility (wheelchair-access equipped) or Camry Hybrid. To support the winners as much as possible Toyota will also be providing a six-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty from Toyota Financial Services.
While everyone may not win the grand prize, runner ups will go home with a $1000 grant from Toyota to further that non-profit's cause.
This is just one of the many ways Toyota gives back to the community.
