Toyota certainly enjoys getting involved with organizations that aren't connected to the auto industry. The Japanese auto brand is always sponsoring important initiatives, but lately it's been more active than ever. For example, the brand recently struck two major deals: one with Morgan's Wonderland, to become the presenting sponsor of the theme park, which focuses on accommodating special-needs visitors and secondly, with the San Antonio Scorpions, to become a presenting sponsor of the North American Soccer League franchise.

Vice President of Marketing for Toyota Motor Sales, Jack Hollis, explains, "Toyota is pleased to support Morgan's Wonderland and the San Antonio Scorpions. In less than three short years, the park has made a difference in the lives of thousands of people with special needs and their families. And now the Scorpions bring both the excitement of pro soccer and a revenue stream for the park. This is a win-win situation for everybody."1

Part of the brand's sponsorship of the Scorpions includes a new Toyota Field that will be finished in time for the 2013 NASL season. It can accommodate various events and is large enough to support a Major League Soccer franchise, should the city acquire one.
