If you happen to be in the market for a compact crossover or are going to be in the near future, then Marion Toyota, serving Marion, IL , has some exciting news for you. A next-generation version of the Toyota RAV4 has been spotted by a number of automotive journalists.

Though heavily camouflaged, the shots that have been snapped of the redesigned RAV4 do reveal a good number of details. For instance, it's easy to see that the sweeping roofline and fast windshield denote a smaller vehicle is in store for the next generation.

Meanwhile, the vehicle's rear taillights now extend into the liftgate - not a huge change, but a stylish one that we approve of nonetheless. The biggest change to the backend of the all-new Toyota RAV4 is, by far, seen in the fact that its iconic spare tire has finally been removed from the liftgate. The current RAV4 is actually one of the last small SUV models on the road today to keep this stylish feature. And while it's one that we're a little sad to see go, we know that the trade off for increase visibility will be worthwhile.

As for the front end? It draws inspiration from  the recently redesigned 2012 Toyota Camry midsize sedan. Elements from the Camry can be seen in the front-end grille, headlights, and fog-light nacelles.

While you'd think that everything we've learned about the next-gen Toyota RAV4 from these spy shots would be enough to satisfy our curiosity for the time being, such is not the case. In fact, they've raised more questions from us than we had to begin with. And if you're as eager as we are, then we invite you to stay tuned. Marion Toyota, located at 3300 W Deyoung, Marion, IL 62959, will be keeping a close eye on the development of the next-generation RAV4, from now until its release.
