The Best Global Brands 2011 is an annual report showcasing top brands in many major industries. Toyota gained six performance points this year, with 11 points in all, including recognition for dealing with quality issues in favorable ways. Toyota was also cited for dealing with the aftermath of Japan's earthquake and tsunami well.
Interbrand takes into account three aspects:
Financial performance of products and services.
The role of a brand in purchase decisions.
Ability to bring in earnings for the company.
