So, if you're in the market for a reliable car you can trust to go the distant and hold its value along the way, you might just want to consider Toyota. The award-winning automaker has just scored another accolade for the team: Best Passenger Car Value for 2011. The award was recently presented to Toyota by Vincentric, a firm that focuses on measuring value in the automotive industry.
To win Vincentric's industry-acclaimed distinction, Toyota had to beat out competitors in eight critical areas: depreciation, insurance, repairs, maintenance, fuel economy, opportunity cost (the cost of having your money in a vehicle rather than appreciating investment), and fees and taxes. Vincentric reported that Toyota continues to have lower-than-expected ownership cost in all eight of the firm's cost categories and that the brand maintains a particularly low depreciation rate.
The current 2011 Toyota lineup includes the Yaris, Corolla, Camry (and Camry Hybrid), Matrix, Prius, Avalon, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4, Venza, Highlander (and Highlander Hybrid), FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser.
