Selling both new and used vehicles is the backbone of our business.  There are several different roles within the Vehicle Sales department,  but they all  assist customers when they're purchasing a vehicle.  Some of the available positions within the Sales department are:
  • Product Specialists
  • Sales Managers
  • Finance and Insurance Managers
  • Vehicle Acquisition Buyers
  • Product and Process Trainers

Product Specialists

When most people think of a car dealership, they think of car salespeople.  Because of our "Best Price" way of doing business, the role of everyone in the sales department has changed.  Instead of negotiating with customers...which nobody likes, our Product Specialists serve as a trusted advisor helping customers find the right vehicle and learning everything about the vehicle that's important to each customer.  You no longer have to be a great negotiator in order to have a successful auto sales career.  Our Product Specialists are:
  • Friendly and make friends easily.
  • Good listeners who help customers find what they want.
  • Willing to constantly learn about new products and features.
  • Able to explain complicated systems in simple language.
  • Customer Communication and Social Media Specialists.
  • Good at math and can understand explain financing options.
  • Good record keepers who follow up with customers.

Finance & Insurance

Finalizing all of the legal documents to complete a sale is the last step for every customer when purchasing a vehicle.  The people who help our customers with this final step must be accurate and thorough to make sure everything is done right.

They must also be good listeners and provide our customers with purchase and lease options, and also protection products to protect the customer's investment in their vehicle.  To be a part of the Finance and Insurance team, candidates must:
  • Be computer proficient
  • Understand federal and state guidelines and paperwork
  • Be excellent at math and also a good problem solver
  • Be tremendous verbal communicators
  • Keep accurate records and are able to follow strict processes

Product Knowledge and Training

Every Marion Toyota team member participates in regular training.  Some of the training in done in groups but we also have trainers who work with team members one on one.  To fill the role of a product knowledge or process trainer, you must:

  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Understand the needs of every dealership department
  • Keep track of training goals and training history
  • Be willing to listen to department managers and adapt

Vehicle Acquisition Specialists

Not only does Marion Toyota sell cars every day, but we also buy and trade for new inventory every day.  Purchasing the correct vehicles and assisting the sales department with vehicle evaluations is a role filled by our Vehicle Acquisition Team
To be part of this team, you must:
  • Be responsible and a good researcher
  • Have excellent computer skills
  • Be able to follow strict guidelines and processes
  • Have the ability to see fine details
  • Can communicate with dealers, customers and transportation vendors
