The 2014 Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon and Avalon Hybrid have received a 5-Star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Kelley Blue Book has released its Top 10 list of Best Family Cars and the Toyota Prius V and Avalon made the 2013 list.

Prius V ranked third.  KBB.com editors selected the Prius V because it comes "jam-packed with all the Prius-ness you crave while also offering roughly 50 percent more cargo space."

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 has earned the Top Safety Pick Award for good performance from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  The IIHS noted Toyota improved the RAV4's roof structure to earn a good rating for rollover protection.
