Japanese automaker Toyota is really bringing out its best this year, and the 2013 Toyota Venza is certainly on this list. This year, Venza models come with a choice of two incredible engines, both of which have some rather positive attributes. You may even find it difficult to choose between the two, so here's a bit of information to aid in your decision:

2013 Toyota Venza Engine Choices:

  • A Powerful Base Engine: The Toyota Venza doesn't feature an efficient but feeble four-cylinder like the ones found in most mid-sized crossovers. Instead, it holds one of the most powerful four-cylinders in its class: an all-aluminum alloy, inline, dual overhead cam 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 182 brake horsepower (BHP). This engine achieves 21 mpg city/ 27 mpg highway for the front-wheel drive model and 20 mpg/ 25 mpg in the optional all-wheel drive model.
  • A Rather Powerful and Efficient V6: Spending about $2,000 more will get you a V6 Venza model, and we can't expect you'll be disappointed with this impressive upgrade. It features the same aluminum and DOHC basics as the four-cylinder, but it produces an impressive 268 BHP. Instead of only being able to tow 1,000 lbs. like the four-cylinder model, it also has the ability to tow 3,500 lbs, which is enough for recreational or power sports trailers. This engine achieves 19 mpg city/ 26 mpg highway in FWD format. And, we can't deny it just feels more powerful behind the wheel as well!
